my samsuNG GALAXY S 5 WHEN I PRESS THE POWER BUTTON A LIGHT APPEARS IN THE PHONE BUT the phone is STILL BLACK WHEN I LET THE POWER BUTTON GO IT TURNS OFF

remove the back cover and battery

press the power button about 2 seconds and release it again, wait for another 30seconds

put back the battery and cover, try powering on

is the battery charging light on while the charger is plugged in?
