For Christmas I bought a brand new Vizio 50 TV, model VQD50S-800 at Walmart, mostly because it had Bluetooth and I need to use headphones when watching because my hearing is not so good anymore. But when I paired up and turned on the headphones, the regular in-TV speakers don't work. Neither would a Vizio Soundbar. Now I can't watch TV with my wife & family because they can't hear any sound if I have the headphones on. I called Vizio's customer service line and they said the TV can only power ONE mode of sound: Bluetooth OR speakers, not both.
That really seems weird. There's got to be a way to make both work, isn't there? My earlier Vizio Smart TV (without Bluetooth) worked fine with a generic set of add-on headphones. But the new TV with Bluetooth will not.
Is there something I can do? Is there an adapter of some kind I can get?
