Can I change cpu in my laptop?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad l450 with a i3-5005U 2.ghz. Is it possible to upgrade to something a bit faster?

Maybe, but it's not as easy as it is in desktops.

You could theoretically find a motherboard from a higher-end version of the same laptop with a better chip to replace the one you have now, but the new motherboard may not be compatible with your current chassis.

You're better off buying a better laptop with the specs you want from the outset.

Also note that if you're successful you'll also have to reinstall Windows.
