Dear all,

Please help me to get rid of one issue: my PC is not able to display properly a DIV X (AVI) movie (AMD K6-2 300 MHz, 64 MB RAM, 4 MB VIDEO RAM). I have reduced monitor resolution to 640 x 480, but there are still present some desyncronizations between sound and the image. Aparently my processor is not able to face the challange to work with DIV X files. I was wondering if there are some software applications available to convert my DIV X files (AVI format) into MPEG 2 files (or similar) ? Please help me. If I need more than one software for this conversion please advice. Thank you very much for your help.

Romulus.

Your processor is extremely slow and your video card is ancient. You simply may not be able to do it. Good luck.

Yes, software like the Panasonic MPEG1 encoder does this. However, I don't know how much luck you'll have.

Yes you can recompress it to a different format. But with 300 Mhz and 64 Mb of RAM it's going to take hours!

Check a site like vcdhelp for more info.
