Can I make a wired media player "wireless" if I use a usb modem stick?

I have a Sony BDPS1700 WIRED Streaming Blu-Ray Disc Player (2016 Model). Is there any way to use this wirelessly? I have a wireless Vizio smart tv that I'm using it with. Otherwise I have to get a really long ethernet cord to go from the modem back to the media player(it's not near my computer modem). Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

No way that I know of without introducing a crazy amount of audio lag and expensive adapters into the mix. It would be cheaper to just get a pair of bluetooth headphones if your TV supports bluetooth.

Oh no what I meant was I want to watch Netflix on the streaming player but it only supports "wired", meaning I have to drag an ethernet from the modem back to the media player which is in another room.

Purchase an Access Point that has a "client mode," this adds WIFI to your ethernet-only BluRay.

But a new BR WIFI capable player may cost you just as much.

Just read your "USB stick." Read the manual, if it allows you then yes. Some do.
