Using a 2GB video card (Asus 7770 HD) I can play GTA V on high with very low variation in people and cars (almost minimum) and no AA. I get 59 FPS average and the card isn't quite full.
RAM usage is 2.2 GB approximately, will probably spike to 3 at times.
For that question, it is playable, but it just won’t be the best experience, may need to turn down graphics settings or potentially the resolution you play at.
Also bear in mind that with it not being a gaming laptop you may get overheating issues after prolonged gameplay - - - if temps get too high the laptop will just suddenly power off to prevent component damage. So all in all it's not likely to be a very satisfactory experience.
Gaming and standard laptops are not a good combination.
