Can i swap my duel 2 core for my i7 processer

Hi i have been playing games on my duel 2 core processor and it's always freezing up or the game just cuts out and end up back at the windows start up screen so i have another pc with a i7 processor that has Windows s and i can't download outside the windows market so was thinking if i could put the mother board in the duel 2 core case plus it has a better graphics card but not sure i have someone coming to fix this at £45 a hour so trying to get some advice before i waste money i don't have thanks for looking

If you change cpu/motherboard, will probably need to reinstall windows.
