Question Can I switch the HDMI port to work with CPU integrated graphics rather than dedicated GPU?

I have an HP Omen 15 (2017) and a few years ago my nvidia GPU burned out. It was removed by a repair guy who changed all the settings to use the intel integrated graphics instead. This has been fine until I tried to plug a monitor into the HDMI port - no video input. I have checked in the device manager display adapters and the HDMI port is not listed. I have looked in the BIOS but there are no display settings. The device drivers are up to date. Is there anything else I can check or change to link the HDMI port to the CPU?

It's usually hard wired to the video card it uses. Did you check with HP support?
