Can I upgrade Sony Vaio?

I am using a Sony Vaio VGN-N17G that is running Windows XP; can I upgrade to Windows 7?

WR2, it appears not. It seems that the possibility to upgrade only exists for Vista > Win7. Though there is something at the bottom of the page about upgrading from XP to Win7 by migrating all files http/windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-xp-to-windows-7 . I'm running the 'Win7 upgrade advisor' diagnostic.

That's what I found too.
Sometimes, if you can find the Vista drivers Win7 upgrade will work OK.
-> But Sony didn't create Vista drivers for N17G either.

If you want to try a Win7 32bit installation you can do that before buying the license.
