That system does have two SODIMM slots and the max memory can be up to 16GB DDR3L (1.35v).

But if you currently have two 2GB modules in there you'd have to take one out and would end up with 6GB total.

Thank you for your response, the system came with just a single 4GB RAM in one of the two slots, so with my recent demand for work and the slow response, that is why I am thinking if increasing the RAM will improve the performance.

I will have to add a single 8GB RAM to make it 12GB in total...I believe this should improve its performance.
