Is the voltage the same?
Give specs of both adapters.

The stated wattage is the maximum allowed for that device. Anything less than that will not cause any problems. So you are OK in that respect.

There are, however, two factors you need to check:
1. Does the plug from adapter fit. If not, you may need to get another adapter.

2. Is the new one the same voltage as the old one. If not, you can't use it.
