can i use usb instead of hdmi? my lap top has no hdmi ports, only usb.

I had a similar question. I'm looking to buy a nice TV but my laptop (where all my movies are) does not have a HDMI input. If I were to buy this gadget, I would be able to watch all my movies without any quality loss?
