Can I watch using Passive 3D glass instead of Red/Blue 3D glass?

I have Red/Blue 3D glass and 3D movies on computer which i can watch using VideoLan player. However, the colour quality is a turn off for me. Therefore, I wonder whether I can use Passive 3D glass (without the Red/Bue) to watch those 3D movies on computer?

The Red/Blue glasses are passive. I doubt you can use active glasses but it would depend on your video card and monitor. Active glasses require a bluetooth or RF connection to the PC so the glasses are in sync with the picture.

But I'm planning using the passive 3D glasses without the red blue type, not the active type due to the poor colour quality of the red blue type.
