Can My DVD Player Write Dual Layers?

How do I know if my DVD player can write dual layers? Belarc Advisor describes it as
HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GHB0N SCSI CdRom Device [Optical drive]

I am sure it can i have not used DVD drive from last 10 years but back then when i had that at that time too i can write dual layers DVD
you dont need anyspecial writers unless they are DVD

Just be warned that DL disks vary very wide in quality and compatibility. I have ended up (when I used to make DL DVDs) having separate brands for different DVD writers I was using.
