Can my GP72MVR 7RFX with a i7 7700HQ and one GTX 1060 run games at medium settings on a Alienware 34.1" 1440p, 120hz?

Depends on the game, but should be OK, 1060 card is mostly setup for 1080 at high refresh rates not 1440. You should be able to hit 60fps in most games at 1440.
