when i attempted to get Ubuntu on my school laptop, i accidentally deleted windows. then because when setting up Ubuntu i set its storage so it would only take up 30 gb i figured the rest of the space was still there so re installed windows hoping it would find the space but no. is there any way i could get my original stuff back cause i need it for school. (no i did not backup, however would it be possible for a friend with the exact same computer to make a backup for me to use)

You need to check with the school. It's highly likely that they image all the laptops with all the software needed for classes. A recovery disk would be different.

Only if they can create a recovery disk. then you can use it to restore your system.
If not talk to your school support and have them reinstall windows.

how would you create the recovery disk if i may ask?
