Can not conntect to internet, web page unavailable comes up

I am connected to my wireless network, and i downloaded avg and siince, i can not connect to any web page i get the same response on ie, google, and firefox unable to connect to server/ website. i did uninstall avg and restored to an earlier date, Still doing this i have had the same issues. I also am running xp on my lap top.

reset your firewall to default in control panel.
