Here are the laptop specs:
- AMD A10 Processor @ 1.90 GHz
- 8 GB RAM Memory
-AMD Radeon R6 Graphics Card

Solution
Yes, make sure the memory is running in dual channel, so 4GB x2.

From your description I deduct you're talking about the A10-7300. So, 1.9Ghz base clock with boost to 3.2Ghz, and 384 shader units running at 533 Mhz with boost to 654Mhz.

I'd say 1366x768 is doable for newer well-optimized games at low-medium settings. However, demanding games like Witcher 3 might require a config file for lower than low settings or a drop down o 1280x720. Nvidia centric games like Batman Arkham Knight or Project Cars might prove a little too much.

It's still a good capable laptop. Make sure the memory is running in dual channel, makes a massive difference.

Actually it may run new games on up to medium settings, but you need to provide more specific information. What model A10 APU is it, and what speed does the 8gb of RAM run at.
