Can you confirm AMD Athlon II X3 435 unlock?

I;ve heard stuff about an AMD Athlon II X3 435 can be unlocked on an Asus M4A785D-M PRO board, can anyone confirm this?

I think it can just look in the bios for a setting

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Yeah it's possible but all depends of the CPU if u are a lucky guy u can unlock the 4th core and get it stable but in other cases the unlocked core isn't stable and u start to get a lot of BSoD.

What is the best advice? if u want a quad core CPU buy one.

BUT, if you need to save some quid, and a triple will satisfy you, then nothing wrong in looking for a free core 😀

I'm not looking for a quad core, tri is cool enough for me, 4 cores are just a bonus! Thanks for the info.
