Cannot change volume. And it's the only playback device.

So I use a headset which is plugged into the back of my PC via the headphone jack. But I can't change the volume or mute.

If I open playback devices in Sound, there is only 1 enabled device (this headset) and it's the default device.

If I then go to properties --> levels, dragging the slider or pressing mute doesn't do anything. The volume stays exactly the same and I can't figure out why.

When audio is playing, I can see the green bar lighting up next to the device which indicates that it *is* the correct device. I just can't change volume.

Any ideas?

Gonna give u another of my stock answers: Always use (audio) driver from the Mobo's vendor.
