Solved! Cannot connect laptop to external monitors

My son got a new laptop from work, which does not have any serial port. Our additional monitors have only 15 pin Male serial connectors on the cable. What do I need to purchase to utilize these monitors with his new laptop?

Active VGA adapters.
The other part of what youo need to search for is in the video ports that the new laptop does have.

Often its HDMI, Display Port (abbreviated to DP), or mini-DP.
So you would search for example: Active Displayport to VGA Adapter or Active HDMI to VGA Adapter.
