Canon 20D trouble

Hi, I have a canon 20D and I am having trouble wiht it. It will only take a picture as soon as I turn the camera on and then it will lock up. The display screen is also not working and will only display the one picture I take. I have tried pressing the "menu" button while it is showing me the one picture. Please help. I am not photographer but would love to use the camera and it not sit in the closet in non working condition. thanks!

Is your battery fully charged? If yes, try reset the 20D by removing the battery, after that and to see the camera works normal or not.
