Canon Power Shot A470

I have a Canon Power Shot A470 and I cannot seem to find out how to shut off the flash?

Press the "Flash/Right Arrow" button on the four-way control on the back of your camera to display flash options on the camera's LCD screen.

Push the "Left Arrow" or "Right Arrow" buttons to select the flash "Off" icon. It's the third icon that shows the flash symbol crossed out by a backslash mark inside a circle. Begin shooting new pictures.
