Canon powershot s1 no viewfinder picture

The viewfinder screen does not display anything. The screen is black.

Try that display button at the bottom. I don't have this thing I just pulled up the button diagram and I'd give that a shot first.

When you use the screen instead of the eyepiece that is called live view so look for something like that in the menus if the display button doesn't do it.
