Hi there...

I've got a Huawei Sonic smart phone, and it won't let me access secure websites. The internet ISP is fine - I can tether the phone to a computer (using the internet signal from the phone) and access secure websites on the computer.

I've looked at all settings on the phone....cookies are enabled, Javascript is enabled. I've cleared the cache.....but still can't get those secure websites.
I can access gmail through the email app, but can't get gmail when using the browser.

Anyone got any clues???

Thanks

Yeah but you probably have two different revision numbers. You could try downloading updates for the phone or do as i said and test a different browser. You dont have to keep it. You are trying to isolate what the issue is.

You said it worked via tether, means provider side is ok

Hiya....yeah, sorry....got a bit confused about the browser thing :)

Tried the dolphin browser, and still no joy with secure websites. So I'm presuming that means it's the phone?
I've looked on the firefox browser on a computer and there's a setting for ssl that can be adjusted, but I can't see how to do that on the Huawei.

Any more ideas???

Thanks
