Cant change laptop screen brightness

Hi,
I recently bought an asus fx502vm from amazon yesterday, and I just recently got my hands on it. Everything works perfectly fine, but when i went to tone down the brightness, the icon for changing screen brightness in windows 10 showed up and was scrolling up and down, but the brightness never actually changed. I tried to go into the power options to change the brightness from there, but i couldn't get it to work either. Anyone have any solutions?

Not sure if this will work but try changing it using the FN key & F# key(s). There should be a brightness icon on one of the F# keys on the top of your keyboard and the FN key is on the lower bottom left.

That was my first attempt at trying to change the brightness. Nothing happened unfortunately :I
