Solved! Can't connect Bose 321 system to TCL 625 through AV adapter

I just bought a TCL r625. My bose speakers use AV cables to connect but this TV only has a yellow port that says adapter. I bought the RCA converter but it is still not working. The speakers only work when the adapter is plugged into the headphone jack on the TV but the speakers do not get very loud.

the adapter is AV IN, which means you can connect an old DVD player or such.

the adapter should have been delivered with the TV and has 3 connections, s-video + stereo in (no output)

Use the headphone out, you can adjust the volume on both the TV and the BOSE system to get it louder.
