cant detect simcard on my samsung note 2

how do i fix this since i just recently change the simcard slot and it still cant be detected while my memory card is detected?

Are you sure the SIM card is actually ok? I ask because that model has a tendency to overhead in that area (due to battery overheating) leading to damage to the card.
