Can't get any sound from Laptop to TV. HDMI connection.

I just recently upgraded my laptop to windows 10. When I go to connect it to my TV with HDMI the sound will not come out of the TV, it will only play from the laptop speakers. I have right clicked the sound icon and have gone to playback devices. There is only one speaker device shown and it is the laptop speakers...

I have been trying to get it to work for a couple hours now. I need some help.

What is the GPU in your laptop? Most likely culprit is you need to upgrade your graphics driver (with HDMI out connections, audio goes through the graphics driver).

In the window where the list of playback devices are shown, right click and make sure that there is a tick mark next to "show disabled devices". Let us know if this helped.

I have done all of that already. It only shows one speaker and my Nvidia drivers are the latest ones.
