Hi,

I have three devices connected together a Samsung UDH TV series 8, a PS4 and a Pioneer receiver VSX-934. I can't get sound from the TV to the receiver speakers. I couldn't get any signal on the TV from the ARC HDMI from the receiver so instead I used the HDMI OUT ZONE 2 from the receiver. I get sound from the receiver to the PS4 on the front left and right speakers but no the center speaker. I only have a 3 speakers system for now but will get soon some surround back speakers. Here's a lot of details about my connections and configurations of all the devices.

I would connect things like this
Cable box and PS4 connected to HDMI inputs on receiver.
Receiver HDMI output to HDMI-ARC input on TV.
I don't think you need any other connections.
Go through the receiver set up. This will assign the HDMI connections to three inputs (cable box, PS4 and TV streaming/ tuner). It will also configure the receiver for the speaker set up you have right now.
Set the surround sound for the cable box to Dolby, for the PS4 and TV to Auto.
Turn on ARC in the TV menu, turn off the TV speakers, and set the audio output to bitstream.
