Can't hook my Samsung TV up to my Harmon kardon avr 20

I can't get any sound to play through my Harmon kardon avr 20 II RECIEVER why?????

need more info. what cables do you have? how are they hooked up? what connections are on the samsung tv? looks like reciever only has rca connections is that right?
