Can't run Dxtory video files

For some reason I am unable to play these files (.xtor) I downloaded Avidemux and the proxy but for some reason I sill am unable to play them. I followed the steps indicated by tutorials on Youtube but when I tried to start the proxy it came up with an error message reading that it was "unable to load the Avisynth library." Why?

Can you open the files with Dxtory? .xtor is not a video file format I am familiar with though I have seen Dxtory quite a bit in the threads. If you can open the file in Dxtory is there an export or save as option?
