Cant run microsoft office 2000 on windows xp

After I install Microsoft Office 2000 Std. on Windows XP SP3 .
I can't run program Mircrosoft Office and not error message.

None of the Office programs work? You might try updating Office with Microsoft Update, not Windows Update.

Did you have a different version of office on there before? How are you trying to run it? You try to start the app and nothing happens at all?
