Can't view files transferred on sd card

In my file manager, I clicked the transfer to SD card button and it highlighted several photos, music, and documents. I transferred them to the SD card but I was shocked when I can't view them in the external storage. How can I view them? There are important documents that are missing now in my file manager.

Switch off the device and remove the micro SdCard then use a full size carrier to allow you to slave the micro to your PC or laptop. Check the files are all there and back them up.

Have you made a choice as to Internal or Portable storage relating to that card?
