Cant view images or videos?

Hi there,

I have a few directories with different jpg photo's and some videos - these were imported from a mobile phone. One directory contains 5 jpg photos and two mp4 video files, which are not opening? I have tried opening the images in Windows Photo Viewer, Paint, etc. but they don't seem to be opening?

When trying to open the image files in Windows Photo Viewer I got this message:
"Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either photo viewer doesn't support this file format or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer"

And I tried opening the mp4 videos in Windows Media Player but this didn't work.

Can anyone provide advice? I can view other jpg image files that are in other directories, but just not this one?.

Are the file sizes on the items correct for what they should be? Do they open on the phone?
Try using VLC media player to play the movies, free program and will play just about any video file.
