Capture Video on iPad in Background

Is there anyway to record a video on the ipad and still use it at the same time? It doesn't appear there is anyway to do this as it doesn't support multi-tasking, but I'm not sure if there is anyway to get around this.

My wife has an ipad and while I haven't tried what your talking about I do know that the people at Apple support are very helpful and every question that we have asked them they have answered , have you tried Apple support ?
