Hi,

DiI ave an Asus A730 connected to a 2.5 HDD on the USB Hos port. I'm
using this in my car to be able to play my music and my videos on the
road.

I need to charge the pocketpc and power the HDD a 12v to 5.5v power
supply with a least 3 AH power.

Does anyone know where I can find such a Powersupply

Thanks
Greg

What does the Asus car supply give you?

The one from PC-Mobile says:

Charge your PDA in car/truck with this versatile adapter. (use USB charge
cable of your PDA). Input - 12-24v output - 5v / 850mA

(Note this is current output, not capacity (AH) that you gave which seems a
bit more relevant to storage capacity of a battery).

They are the only sources I can think of- if Asus don't give details you
could email them ........

Don't forget that cigarette lighter circuits are fused, so there will be a
limit on what can be supplied this way. For example a 300W car invertor I
have is limited to 150W connected to the cigarette lighter socket, but 300W
when connected directly to a car battery. (150W will be just over 1 Amp,
nowhere near 3 Amp. ).

2A would be enough I think .....

850mA is not enough to charge the PDA and to power the disk....
