Ccleaner- documents missing or deleted. Please help!!

I have been using ccleaner for years & never had any issues. But this time I cant find some of my excel worksheets or microsoft word documents. I have looked everywhere I can think of. Is there some way to reverse what I did? Thank you guys so much!

they normal don't get delete, were those file in temp directory?

not sure but you could try a system restore. Ccleaner may have created one before the scan

Not sure now, but seems like they must have been in the temp directory because only some are missing not all of them. And I did try recuva but obviously didnt do it right because I cant open 3/4 of the files it recovered.

How can I tell if Ccleaner created a restore point? When I go to system restore the only date there is a date after I ran the cleaner.

With delete file, there storage space might get reused which corrupted your recovery.
Next time, backup
