Cd drive

Hello, i seem to have lost the cd drive off of my acer aspire 5810t laptop . how ? more to the point what can i do

When you say "lost" is it not showing up in Windows but is still in the laptop, or lost as in there is a big hole in your case where the drive was?

First try to re-seat the drive, almost all laptops have one slider you can move to enable you to pull out the drive.

hi, no it dosen't recognize any thing when you you put a disc in it . not picked up by windows

If this is happening with multiple disks, sounds like there is something mechanical wrong with the drive, especially if it shows you a drive letter in Windows. Time for a replacement.
