CELLPHONE BLUETOOTH INTERFERENCE

Car: 2011 BMW X5 Diesel. Phone: Blackberry Torch. Problem: Bluetooth is synced and working. But to play the radio or ipod continuously, the Blackberry must be shut off or left at home. Otherwise, intermittently and regularly, the radio or ipad cuts out and "Ending Call" appears on the screen . It counts down for about 20 seconds and the radio or ipod comes back on. Very annoying. How do I fix this?

Turn off the bluetooth on your phone.

I can do that, but then I cannot use my phone in the vehicle. Our Distracted Driving law makes it illegal. The whole point of having Bluetooth in the vehicle is hands free. Until recently, everything worked without interference: i.e. Bluetooth on. I need a fix to go back to the way it was.

This could be a problem with the phone's firmware. Did you update the firmware? Did you try resetting the phone to factory default?
