Center Spaker Only Works With Test

Like i said the center speaker on my 5.1 setup only works when i use the windows test audio thing

and doesnt work with.......?

movies? games? internet?

what components, how are they connected, etcetera.

it works with some movies and some games
and its connected with 3 - 3.5mm cables to my sound card

not all movies are surround sound ... some (like anime or foreign flicks) are stereo only the same is true with some games.

you need to be more specific... what movies? and what games?

are you connected via green yellow black correctly?

if it works in some movies and games and via the test but not in others i'd say its the source file or game settings.

also what settings are you using on your soundcard/windows? is it set to 5.1 properly? you need to use some specifics.....

in general the center speaker should be firing on about 60% of all surround sound.

Yeah everything is fine
but in the windows config thing it says 7.1 but not 5.1 is that ok

well it should say 5.1 however i dont think its the reason for the center channel not working.
