Change SD card to default storage

I have a Motorola Z2 play. Before the update to Orio, my SD card was set to default storage.
After the update to Orio 8, I am unable to set my SD card to default storage. Somehow it was changed during the update to Oreo.

Please help me to fix it back to allow default storage without having to root my phone.

The update should not have changed it from "External" to "Internal" storage. It is odd that it did. Was the SD card left in the phone during the update? Also, was the update through the phone's "Settings" or done another way?
