I want to change/upgrade my NVidia graphics card but I don't know if it's possible. I have Intel Core i3-3110M CPU, Intel HD graphics 4000 and GeForce 820M.
I've searched forums and they say it's not possible, but they all refer to laptops with one graphics card.

Solution
if you have intel HD right now, the chances are that your laptop will not even fit or support a new GPU, and also, the power supply and motherboard could not handle one, I would save up for a new laptop.

Laptops with upgradeable graphics are very rare. Typically they're laptops designed for gaming or CAD workstations. From your laptop's specifications, it seems very unlikely that your GPU is upgradeable. Laptops with integrated AND dedicated graphics (sometimes called hybrid or dual graphics) are increasingly common.
