Changing motherboard Does it requires changing DC board??

My laptop motherboard is dead. So, I am going to buy another one (a used one of course)..
I want to buy a motherboard having better graphics card. Does that requires changing the DC circuit board?

Thank you for your reply... My laptop is Dell inspiron n5010. The only difference between the current specification and the motherboard that I want to buy is the graphics card (and a USB 3 port). My laptop currently on ATI mobility radeon HD4650 and the new motherboard have ATI mobility radeon HD5650.

Would that make a difference??
