Charge does not last

why do my HTC DNA cell phone gets very hot and battery charge does not last

It if is overheating and the battery is dying quickly, you are probably going to need a new battery. And I would really replace it as soon as possible before damage is done to the other parts.

If the phone is under warranty still, contact the manufacturer about a repair/replacement. If it isn't under warranty you can replace it yourself (yes even hard to access batteries are replaceable) or take it to a local tech/repair shop.
