Hey. Tom's Guide Community!

I'm currently own a Samsung Galaxy S7 for about two months now, about a week ago the microphone stopped working and I was told that I needed to buy a new Charging Port Flex Cable for my S7. I don't have a problem doing that, I'm just curious;

I have a G930U, but the Charging Port Flex Cable I found on Amazon claims it's only compatible with G930A, which makes no sense since there's no antenna on the Charging Port Flex Cable? Why would the charging port flex cable be carrier restricted?

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this.

Edit:

I bought the phone on Amazon...didn't get a one year warranty unfortunately. I'll message them reporting the issue regardless.
