Cheap Acer Laptop with SSD and lots of RAM

One question: what is the use of so much RAM if there is already an SSD?

That's not a very good deal in my opinion. AMD is about to release an updated version of their APUs, and that laptop is pretty dated for $500. The RAM and the SSD are mostly unrelated to each other besides for page filing on the SSD, do a google search on what RAM is vs storage.

Agreed, not a good deal.

You can get intel laptop with SSD for near this price that will be much faster then the A8 at anything except gaming.

The only real "bargin" that this laptop would fall under is if you want to game at medium settings (the display is low resolution so at least that will help with FPS) and cant afford to get a laptop with dedicated GPU.
