[citation][nom]doctorpink[/nom]its sad to see so much non sense and stupid people in here. Don't you guys get it? its IMPOSSIBLE to FREE EVERYTHING RIGHT AWAY! the country will just collapse. Look at THE Russians. If you change things too quickly.... its chaos. Sooner or later chinese will learn the truth. But for now, their just building their country. AND THEY ARE DOING IT FUCKING WELL SO FAR! so STFU A BIT....[/citation]

Have you ever though that we want them to collapse?

A civil war would be awesome for the west.

[citation][nom]apache_lives[/nom]hmmmm can see some google staff disappearing...[/citation]

I can see some Chinese officials in a CIA secret prison.

[citation][nom]haunted one[/nom]I support Google. Someone needs to stand up to this Bull**** or the Chinese govt will become overly dominating.I truly won't be surprised if China begins mass invasions in the future, with the support of its largely misinformed and brainwashed citizens. Its population is kept misinformed precisely by this censorship.[/citation]

I got about a billion rednecks with every sorta gun down south where I live, I'm sure we could take on China.

[citation][nom]gm0n3y[/nom]As far as I know, every country in the world forces Google to censor their search results. Imagine if google provided results with child porn in them. The US government would freak out too. China just has the bar of freedom of expression moved a lot lower. Not saying I agree with them, but I can understand where they are coming from. If I was a dictator, I'd certainly want to stop my people from learning about all the bad shit I do.[/citation]
I only have a beef with the first part of your comment - there's a fundamental and very clear distinction between law and censorship. Child porn is a matter dictated by civil law, whereas censorship is a political process.

In China, a lot of the content google is showing is against the law, just not American laws.
