What antivirus would you choose from this list?

- Nod32 8
- Kaspersky antivirus 2015
- Avast Free

I need a modern antivirus (I'm currently using Nod32 4 + Malwarebytes) for a gaming computer. I appreciate something not too intrusive, with low resources usage and solid efficiency/detection rate.

I have spent like 2 hours reading reviews and comparatives, but I'd love to hear people's opinions in case someone has experience with those antivirus :)

Thank you dearly, in advance.

Kapersky

Tho..... it does get its claws in deep .... if you do something funky uninstall wise...it could be a real pain to get

You may find getting it cheaper thru ZoneAlarm.

Thank you for the replies.

Looks like Kaspersky has improved a lot over the last few years, so I'll probably give it a try.
I'm surprised NOD32 has dropped that much in the rankings.

I'm giving Bit-Defender a try ATM w/ (2) 3 license 1 year trials.

Machine 1 - It won't install on a machine with AiSuite III .... had to uninstall AiSuite, install BD, then reinstall AiS III
Machine 2 - It doesn't like "Save As" when saving 32 bit program files over the network to a file server. Workaround involves disabling AV, then saving the file. After AV auto restores itself after 5 minutes, it saved just fine.
Machine 3 - Can't get Kapersky out .... came off other 5 machines no problem. This is on old XP print server and appears to be XP related.

Haven't installed yet on next 3 boxes.

Of the three you listed, Kaspersky is going to be the best for end-user protection... when done properly.

Personally, I find Kaspersky to be too paranoid for my taste, and will likely protect a certain chunk of users less than it should due to this. For example, slightly more advance users that enjoy tweaking with their software settings for their web use will probably disable certain features to keep annoyances at a minimum, which would then potentially open up doors for malicious hacks to be exploited.

If you're not too much of that kind of PC user, then Kaspersky will probably be just fine for you.
