Choosing new video card for MSI GT70 Dominator-895

I know that it has an upgradeable GPU, and it's apparently among the easiest to upgrade, but I want to avoid an incompatible card, or an inadequate power supply. So, two questions. (I had no luck with googling it....) Those questions being 1) Is the MSI GT70 Dominator-895 compatible with the GTX 970m and/or the GTX 980m, including installing drivers, and 2) Will the power supply be adequate? I know different cards have different requirements for power, but I also know that Maxwell is supposed to be real power friendly compared to Kepler, still, I'm asking to be sure. Also, if my power is inadequate, since, as I recall (Possibly incorrectly), the external power adapter IS the PSU, will it be possible to address inadequate power by getting a stronger external adapter?

Thanks ahead of time!

Here is a link to the forum thread..... There are all kinds of info.... rjtech has the best prices on cards, although you have to flash the vbios to the msi version or use a modified inf to install the drivers. .

In order to use a higher wattage power brick you have to have a system that isn't locked to 180watt due to the NOS feature or have an unlocked BIOS installed. https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=250882.0
I'm looking to upgrade my MSI GT70 laptop too, so I've been doing a lot of research. Let me know how it goes for you and maybe we can help each other out.
